This was a great upgrade from my old helmet. This one fits much better, is lighter and has much better air flow.
Comments:
I went to my Specialized dealer with the more expensive helmets in mind. They didn't have the one I wanted in my size so tried the Echelon. As soon as I put it on I said I'll take it. * Best helmet you will get in this price range * Fits great * Lightweight * Plenty of Air The Trifix under the ear at the beginning was a little weird, but I got used to it and it would be hard to live without. Make it so that nothing is touching on the ears, very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone that is on a budget but needs great helmet. I have received plenty compliment from people on the road, before I tell them how much it sells for!

I would give the Echelon 6 stars out of 5 if possible as I tested the helmet. Plenty of airflow, an excellent retention system that allows it to fit snugly without feeling tight on one's neck or jaw, plus an adjustment system that allows it to fit virtually all shapes of heads makes it very comfortable and was an easy choice to replace a rather uncomfortable helmet of another brand. My test consisted on landing on my head on asphalt at 19mph. The way the Echelon distributed the point of impact over a much larger area of my head was truly amazing, I'm convinced lifesaving, and indicative of an outstanding design. Although I ended up with a sore neck, some broken bones in my hand and back (from back slamming onto the pavement), shoulder and wrist damage, etc, the severity of these injuries while being spared head and neck injuries, in spite of that being a major point of contact, says it all for the Echelon.
Comments:
I bought this helmet because i moved out here to L.A. where the traffic is more unforgiving then Santa Barbara. I really like the feel of the helmet, adjust's really well to any head shape has good ventilation and looks great! no regrets on my purchase.

Great product, comfy and breathable, I've worn this on quite a few rides and it doesnt channel sweat into my eyes like some other helmets do and can be worn all day without a headache. Quality is second to none, Specialized...need I say more.
