I bought this bike on 9.27.14 at the Cypress location and have put around 140 miles on it. It is extremely comfortable and quick. I could not believe how much faster I was just from switching from my old Gary Fisher mountain bike to this - picked up 2.5 mph without even trying(and I was trying very hard, and not successfully mind you, trying to keep up with a friend that had a hybrid). Looks great and is very quiet. Bike is very good looking also.

Hard pressed to find anything bad to say about this bike. Lightweight, smooth shifting, suspension lockout feature rides like a whole different bike. It has exceeded all of my expectations for the type of bike I needed. The good folks at the Western Hills store were very helpful!

I have put thousands of miles on my '12 Crosstrail Disc. It has been great. I have gone off road on non-technical trails, on gravel, pavement, curbs and grass. I recommend replacing the brake pads with organics. For a "entry level" priced bike, this one is great.

So I've had this bike for 4 months and I love it. It's a perfect hybrid that give you the best of both worlds for a non-competitive cyclist. Taking it on the street and some minor off roading is what this bike is made for. Recently I took it on my first real off road test and did some serious riding with a group that all had nice mountain bikes ($1500 and up)and my bike performed very well. But I realized that my stock bike, especially the tires and wheels, was not made for real trails. I struggled because the tires could not grip and at times it made it difficult to keep up with the other riders. The suspension forks worked flawlessly and going over obsticales was no problem. The frame and gears were able to handle the abuse. Bottom line I recommend this bike for someone that is new to cycling and wants the best of both worlds for moderate street and off road fun.

The bike performs great with easy shifting, smooth pedaling, and very lightweight. Bought the same model (with the white color scheme) for my wife and she equally loves it. Both are medium frames and fit both of us with only lowering the seatpost height for her. I'm 5'9" and she's 5'6. After owning a MTB with caliper brakes we highly recommend getting a bike with disc brakes.

I had always rode Trek bikes until trying this Specialized. The geometry is better suited to my frame and provides an overall better ride at a fantastic price!

I have the 2011 model. I put about 120 miles or so per month on my Specialized Crosstrail, and I absolutely love it. I am a big guy (weighing in at a little over 300 pounds) and my bike has definitely helped me get into better shape. As a big guy, I wanted a bike that felt substantial under me. I like the mountain bike geometry paired with the 700c wheels and hybrid tires. I ride primarily on greenbelt trails that are either paved or crushed gravel. The bike handles well in both and I feel stable and balanced transitioning between the surfaces. I don't need aggressive tread, I don't intend to tackle any real mountain trails. It's fun to ride, and the guys at my LBS have taken great care of it on the maintenance side. The only thing I have upgraded on mine was the grips to an ergonomic grip.
