Bought this to upgrade/replace a much less expensive hybrid bike that I put over 6000 miles on just going here and there. Needless to say, my old bike and I shared alot of good miles so I was wondering if this Crosstrail could win my heart. Yeah, ok... I love this bike. I hop on it to go to the gym, run errands and go exploring, both around home and on vacation. With 700 wheels, it's fast and efficient, but robust enough to hop curbs to get out of the way of rude motorists. The riding position is heads up so I can see in traffic and the geometry practically rides the bike for you. Welds are pretty and overall quality is top shelf. The lock out fork makes the bike way more efficient on the street which is where I'm riding most of the time but the bike is equally at home on mulched paths, fields and gravel roads- like I said, "Go anywhere". One of my favorite features is how they placed the rear brake caliper in the little triangle formed at the joint of the chain and seat stay. An avid road cyclist and mountain biker, this bike fills the gap between the two. I fantasize about doing a west to east coast bike ride and if I ever get the chance, I'll do it on this bike.

Good for the older large frame rider. Disc Brakes are good. Should replace the tires with more durable rubber.
