This is one Super Bike !! The shift is super smooth and quiet. I ride mostly city streets and paved roads. I have had it one month and now have 345 miles on it. Easy to peddle and light weight. This bike goes up a hill like a scalded cat !!!!!

I am 6' tall and 42 Yrs and looking to replace part of my running routine with biking. I intend to use the bike for for recreation (40%) with family and kids, commute (20%), exercise (40%). I test drove about 5 Bikes at the BlackMountain Bikes, A great store with plentiful selection and knowledgeable and friendly associates. I rode the mountain bikes, road bikes, crossroad, and comfort bikes and found the crossroad and in particular the crossroad sport (XL size) from specialized to my liking. It has the right balance, of comfort, speed, handling that makes me look forward to getting on the bike and riding it... At $500 though slightly higher than I would like it ideally, it is all in all probably worth it and fits within the realm of my budget ... I should have my brand new Bike this coming week and will update on my riding experience in the coming days/weeks.

I too had to replace my Alez due to neck problems. I got it so I could ride more upright. The bike is a smooth ride. SHifts well and the gearing seems to be ok. No problems with in between gearing. The bigger tires really smooths out the rough roads. I had forgotten that I had traded speed for comfort.
Comments:
I like to seat more upright as I get back pain when I bend forward myself and ride. So I was looking for more upright seating and this is perfect solution if you want more upright straight seating rather than bending forward. I am riding mostly on office commute everyday 12 miles and have taken to Bay trails, Stevens creek trail and plan to take to some more trails. Its very light weight and easy handling. Changing the gear is very easy. In 1 month total I have rode around 170 miles. And experience is awesome.
Comments:
Due to back issues I traded in my Specialized Spectra Road Bile for this comfort Hybrid and it was without a doubt a great deal. The bike rides smooth and very comfortable. Bike Works is the place to buy a bike...

I had a road bike and decided it was time for a more comfortable ride. Spoke with Lisa at store and she was a fountain of information and helped me to make the best selection for me. I love it and feel very good riding it. Louie made sure the fit was right and off I went. Very happy with the product and the great customer service I received at store.

My trusty Rockhopper has been converted to a single speed for a while, my trusty old Mexican Windsor road bike can still do it...but...My brand new Crossroads Sport is both of these old friends and much more! The smart and quality design at an affordable price really got me, I'm so Scottish. Comfortable, fast, and strong, that's my kind of bike. If I don't want to be bending down low while riding why should I? This bike's geometry is just right for my energy level and size, I'm 6-3, 64, and got the XL. I ride for errands and carry cargo regularly, riding for fun and sport always happens. Thank you Specialized!

I was forced back on to a comfort hybrid from a Roubiax Coup, which I loved, but a failing shoulder replacement necessitated an upright position., BUT the good news is, even tho it's not hi tech carbon model, it's still a blast to ride, and fully capable of putting on some miles. I switched to 700x28 hi pressure road tires (110 - 125 psi) and it really gave the bike a sportier feel, better speed and climbing, and I feel better road capability. I really like the bike!

I recently purchased this bike and couldn't be any happier. I am bigger than most bike riders and I was very concerned about being comfortable and safe on a bike. With the help of some experienced people at my LBS I was sized appropriately with this bike. I have had the bike for about 3 weeks now and am closing in on 150 miles. This bike has handled my size and weight very well while riding along the tow paths near Akron. My wife has recently told me that I love the bike more than her. I have offered to buy her one as well.
Comments:
Have had my Sport for awhile now and really enjoy riding again. I ride about 50-60 miles a week for exercise and enjoyment. I have had no problems with the bike. They are easy to ride, easy to shift and brake. They offer a comfortable ride with the suspension and seat that come with this bike. I actually purchased two sports, one for me and one for my wife. I ride a little more than she does but we both enjoy them.
