It requires the use of a goniometer (a device used to measure angle between two points) which helps us attain a perfect 30 degree behind your knee cap and thus insuring that you can get the maximum power to your pedals without hyper extending or under extending both of which can cause you to lose power + feel some discomfort during your ride. The other great thing about seat height measurement is that it can also point out any leg length discrepancies or hip misalignment which can then be corrected during the fitting.The next step requires the use of a vertical laser to measure your fore and aft location of your saddle to best utilize your femur length to get the most leverage from each peddle stroke specifically while climbing and hammering on the flats. Once all your pedaling dynamics are addressed we go on to your handlebar width+drop as well as your stem length and pitch.
