Specialized's Sirrus Elite Disc makes all your favorite rides even more fun with its light, lively, and efficient Specialized aluminum frame. The same can be said for its Specialized carbon fork leading the way. You'll also love the free-rolling, road bike size wheels and the flat handlebars with intuitive, easy-to-reach controls. Looking for fitness bike to ride local paved trails. LBS had a 20" large on clearance that out shown several major brands 2015 models. Rode this one twice when comparing as was the best fit and feel for me. The saddle is a little hard but my butt is new to hybrids and fitness riding. Broke bike in on two rides and it didn't disappoint me. Shifting was crisp with plenty of gears to handle the hills. I thought 2 x 9 wouldn't be enough but I am pleasantly surprised the Sirius Elite Disc gears seemed to be just the ones I need. Disc brakes were smooth and provided safe stops both fast and slow. Fit and finish are awesome. Thank You for a great ride and workout buddy. Look forward to next ride.
Comments:
The Sirrus is by far the best all-round bike for commuting I have tried. In Denmark, cycling is a common way of transportation. I have used this bike for my daily commute in a 9-month period (about 2300 km), and I am very satisfied. One feels that all pedal power is converted into speed and the frame feels very rigid. The bike is a pleasure to drive, quick up to speed and efficient brakes to stop it.

It is amazing I bought the bike on 5/13/2015 and it is broken on 5/14/2015. The rear Derailleur is broken. The gears were not indexed correctly when I left the store. I went to a ride and notice when I changed gears that they were erratic and skipping. Sometimes the gears changed by itself. Later after a few miles the gears are stuck in the small gear in the rear. It is going back to the store. I am glad I have 3 days to return the bike.

I was looking for a bike to ride into town(16mi). The Sirrus ED feels like my MtB. The upright riding position, easy access to the brakes coupled with the satisfactory speed of a road bike made this bike an excellent choice. The build quality is excellent, I like the way she climbs the hills and love the way the hydraulic brakes give me complete control when flying down the other side.
Comments:
I think the quality synergy of all its components is brilliant and really changes the ride's quality in general. It's comfortable, fast, nimble, grips to the ground great and it stops fabulously well too with its brakes and tires. The gear ratio is very versatile too. With the 9 gear cassette you've got low enough gears to ride up reasonable slopes, garage ramps, etc. and high gears to go as fast as your legs can give. That is with a road drive train and only 2 chain rings. The only thing that isn't great to me on this bike are the pedals, but they are definitely good enough. In short, I am as happy as a dog with 2 tails with this bike.
Comments:
A well built hybrid road bike with good gears and excellent disc brakes. However, this bike is described as having a 'super light weight frame' and this is certainly not the case. The frame is a solid construction but weighs almost as much as my old steel framed hybrid if the same size. I'm thoroughly disappointed as i bought the bike online I didn't get a chance to feel the weight prior to purchase.

I had requested a Sirrus Elite, but an ordering mistake resulted in an Elite Disc arriving at the store instead. I was told to go ahead and take it home and ride it for a few days while they reordered. Very accommodating. But a spin around the parking lot convinced me their ordering mistake was my windfall--the disc brakes were solid and the upgraded crankset and shifters provided a superior experience. I gladly paid the difference.
