Pure. Simple. Fast. Whatever word you want to use for it, Specialized's Crave 29 can be summed up in just one: FUN. Made with their M4 butted aluminum, the frame was already a perfect specimen of light-n-stiff craftsmanship. Short chainstays and a tapered head tube with a 100mm Manitou fork dissects tricky sections and slices-n-dices turns like an L.A. surgeon. Add big, 29er Specialized wheels with versatile knobby tires, and there is pretty much nothing that gets in your way. SRAM and Shimano combine for a 2x10 drivetrain, while Tektro puts the clamps on with their disc brakes. It's pure, simple, fast, and fun for sure.

I ride most twisty singletrack and this bike handles great. I haven't found anything after a summer of riding that this bike cant handle. Land clean and no issues, land sideways and bend wheels. I upgraded pedals and will be doing a stem and bars over this winter. Highly recommend for a 29er on the trails.

Bought this bad boy when I decided I wanted to take mountain biking more seriously. I use it on all styles of trails. The 29 inch tires roll over obstacles with ease and climbing is super easy with its lightweight frame (28 pound bike I believe). The lock out suspension is great for when you are riding on roads and going uphill. Overall a perfect bike for someone who wants to take their skills to the next level.

Wow is all i can say. Went from a 1987 bike to this one. Technology has changed ! This bike takes care of business on the trails and is an excellent value. I believe in this bike and look forward to many more miles on it.

Had to wait 3 months to get this bike. Wow! Coming off a hard tail 26. This bike is a monster with the 23" frame. Rolls over everything. A little problem with the 2x10 tranny. But manageable. Would recommend.
